WHAT WE OFFER
Deep Tissue Massage
A higher intensity massage using oils and creams that will focus on the deeper layers of the muscle and fascia. This may include deep pressure using the fingers, forearms, and elbows in firm, slow strokes to increase blood flow, reduce inflammation, and the breakup of scar tissue. This massage is very useful for neck, back, and lower back muscle pain relief including sciatica and is most often recommended by physicians.
Swedish Massage
A lighter, gentler massage with oils or creams for those who do not prefer very deep pressure. The muscle tissue is warmed up and light to medium gliding pressure is applied to break up knots, adhesions, and scar tissue. This offers a relaxing stress and tension relief.
Acupressure and Trigger Point Therapy
In conjunction with Deep Tissue Massage, these Acupressure and Trigger Point therapy involves deep pressure on target points of tight muscle tissue. By applying and releasing pressure to these points, along with stretching of the muscle, this can relieve referred pain from other areas of the body. This is highly beneficial for managing pain and stress from chronic injury.
Facial/Scalp Massage
A wonderful, relaxing, gentle 30 minute massage using the fingertips and palms for the relief of migraine headache, TMJ (temporomandibular joint disorder), neck and shoulder pain, and more. Trigger points on the face, head, and neck are the focus of this massage. This can be added into a full 60 minute massage.
Heat Therapy
A warm to hot moist heat pack is applied to sore muscles prior intense deep tissue therapy to enhance the relaxation of stress and tension.
Bamboo Massage
Warm bamboo sticks of various sizes, with oil, are applied to tight muscles for a deeper, more concentrated pressure. This is used in addition to a Deep Tissue Massage.
